An Environmental Lead is one who has mastered the skills of custodial services with quality and efficiency and is working on mastering the traits needed to move up the ladder or has decided this is the best position that fits their current life.  The main things they are trying to master to move up is the ability to easily work with others or mastering their knowledge base so they can handle any situation on their own.

An Environmental Lead next step is usually on to a Float, Quality Assurance or Supervisor.
