ENVIRONMENTAL TECH: Astoria, and Warrenton

Environmental Tech is one of the industry names for custodian, janitor, or cleaner usually used in the health care industry. At Associated Cleaning our cleaners are very important, they are responsible for getting the job done, they are our eyes when we may not be able to be at the account, and they are the front line in successfully completing a service. If you’re a hard worker and want a stress-free job, this is the place. Most staff after training receive twice-monthly reminder letters and monthly inspections to help you stay on track and the rest of the time you are on your own allowing you time to be at peace completing your task. Because you are on your own it allows you flexibility as to when you start and how you complete your day.

Float

A Float is someone who has proven they have the ability to go into any account with little direction or supervision and would be able to still perform a satisfactory service. Floats tend to cover for janitors on vacation or out sick. A Float must be able to handle a shift that changes regularly. The next step after proving one can handle the Float position and maybe more would be to move to the Quality Assurance Inspector.

TECH

An Tech is one who has mastered the skills of custodial services with quality and efficiency and is working on mastering the traits needed to move up the ladder or has decided this is the best position that fits their current life.  The main things they are trying to master to move up is the ability to easily work with others or mastering their knowledge base so they can handle any situation on their own.

An Environmental Lead next step is usually on to a Float, Quality Assurance or Supervisor.
